He was the Premier of a big country, taking charge of the Central Government of P.R.C. for ten years.

It is not an easy job to be the premier of a big country. In March, 2003, at the press conference of the First Session of the Tenth National People’s Congress, the newly-elected premier Wen Jiabao cited a famous proverb by Lin Zexu “I will do whatever it takes to serve my country even at the cost of my own life, regardless of fortune or misfortune to myself ” to express his ambition. Over the past ten years, he travelled to many places and showed his concerns over many issues. He was always the first to show up on the site of disasters. His lean figure and wistful eyes really impressed us. Some people called him “a premier filled with love for his people and land”.(Annex
