Modern apprenticeship is a kind of vocational education mode which pays great attention to the workplace training of learners. It originated from the traditional skills passing mode from masters to apprentices. In some western countries with dual-system vocational education tradition such as Germany and Switzerland, the apprenticeship was well developed. Because there are many advantages in cultivating learners’ practical abilities, thus the modern apprenticeship can directly solve the problem of skills shortage and unemployment of the youth. To reform the traditional apprenticeship and to integrate it into modern vocational education system has become important strategies of many countries.
