In September 1984, the first national-level development zone approved by the State Council was constructed in Dalian. That 404 km2 development zone became the forefront of the China economic reform. Over 27 years since that time, the national-level development zones increased in number, and what is more, produced wealth and honor for the nation. Inseparable from those wealth and honor are many vocational schools and institutes, which bear the stamp of development zones.
